Whilst at Saint Monica's the Staff will do their utmost to ensure the safety of your child

Playground Supervision

Teachers are on duty before school and during first and second break. Duty time commences at 8.30am in the morning and finishes at 3.30pm after school. We ask that parents be prompt in collecting children after school. A member of staff supervises children after school as they cross Danson Avenue behind the school. Children who travel on the late bus are supervised by a staff member until the bus leaves.

School Crossings

The school crossings on High and Station Streets are supervised before and after school. The crossing in Station Street is used to access the school oval at recess, lunchtime and some sport lessons. Students are at all times accompanied by a teacher when the crossing is used during school hours.

Parking

Parents are asked to observe parking regulations. Parking is encouraged in Smith Street, Danson Avenue and Church Street. The disabled parking bay is only for cars with the appropriate permit.

Bicycles & Scooters

Students who ride bicycles and scooters to school must dismount and walk their bikes or scooters along the footpaths and into the school grounds. Helmets are compulsory. Bikes and scooters are secured in the school during the day.

Leaving the School Grounds

Students are not permitted to leave the school grounds, at times other than normal, without permission from a member of Staff.

Early Departure from School

If you need to take your child from the school between 9.00am and 3.30pm it is necessary for you log their entry on the SIMON Kiosk. This kiosk is also used if your child returns to school. This enables us to know where all the children are at any time.

Late Arrivals to School

If your child is late to school for any reason, an adult must accompany them into the school and log their attendance at the SIMON Kiosk. This is located at the Office.
